The idea for Travelers Country Club on
the Mississippi came about from a vision shared by three park
developers who wanted to establish an RV park in the Clearwater
Minnesota area. Initial construction started in 1978 and was finished
in 1979. Since then, improvements have been made throughout the Park
to enhance its value.
You can get more information by calling
our office at 320.743.3133
or 888.743.1352 and they will be happy to send you a
brochure.
Our annual dues for the park in
2007 came to
$1,017.00.
That amount includes trash,
sewer and water.
There is no cost to use the pool.
The park generally is a six-month park,
open from April 15th to October 15th when the water is shut off for
the winter. It is around this time that we can have our first frost
and when you will see our snowbirds head south.
Only the park managers live in the park
during the winter. They maintain the streets and secure the park.
Do members use that park as a
summer home?
Yes. Approximately 100 units are
utilized as summer homes by our full-time residents. The rest are used
as vacation retreats by our "weekenders". We have a nice
blend of retirees and young families.

Yes. Members pay a small annual fee of
$50.00 per person and $5.00 per year for children and grandchildren
under 18 years old. Guests golf for $7.00 per round or $12.00 for an
unlimited day pass.
There is good fishing on the
Mississippi River. Members have reported catching small mouth
bass, walleye, northern pike and muskie as well as pan fish off the
boat dock. This area of the Mississippi is known to produce some of
the best small mouth bass in Minnesota.
There are facilities for
socializing. Members can reserve the activity building to
entertain family and friends. On some weekends a cry of
"Bingo!" can be heard. No food is served at the clubhouse
but there is a kitchen in the activity building where members can
prepare and serve food for special events. At the clubhouse, members
gather to play cards, read books and do jigsaw puzzles.
For those who like to swim, there is
a large pool and kiddies pool. On hot summer days members can be
seen lounging around the pool or cooling off in the deep end. We
have even included a special "adults only" time from 3:00 to
5:00 p.m. Normal pool dates are Memorial Day to Labor Day.
There is
Shuffleboard. We just installed a nice court on the 2nd
tennis court area.
There is much to do in the area. Check
out our Community link.
